Welcome to Lexemica Dictionary (the “App”), a learner-focused dictionary that provides contextual definitions, examples, pronunciation, CEFR levels, and grammar explanations. If you create an account, we collect your email address for passwordless authentication via “magic links.” We do not store passwords.

Words and sentences you type or paste into the App (“User Inputs”) to get definitions, translations, or grammar explanations.

Usage & Device Data

Technical data such as device type, OS version, app version, language/locale, time stamps, in-app events (e.g., feature use), and diagnostic logs. IP addresses on the website may be truncated or anonymized where feasible.

On dictionary.lexemica.com we may use essential cookies (to run the site) and, if you consent, optional analytics cookies. You can control cookies via your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

Payments

Purchases are processed by the relevant app store or payment processor. We receive limited information (e.g., transaction status) but do not store full payment details. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.

Crash/Error Reporting (Sentry)

To improve stability, we may use Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., 132 Hawthorne St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). With your consent, when an error occurs we may send diagnostic data such as: active screen, anonymized event IDs, error traces, device/OS version, and recent log messages. This helps us reproduce and fix issues.

  • Authenticate you via magic links and manage subscriptions.
  • Monitor performance, fix bugs, and enhance reliability and security.
